BIO
Vaughn spent her youth performing in musical theater and training in classical vocal performance. It wasn’t until 2016 however, that she began writing her own music in response to the challenges that arose as she embarked on a journey of sobriety and healing. After posting videos of her work online, Vaughn quickly captured the attention of multi-talented Minneapolis creative, Megan Hamilton. Hamilton went on to record and produce Vaughn’s debut EP “Bloom” which was released on November 19th, 2019 and was celebrated by the Minneapolis music community, gaining air time on KFAI Community Radio.
During the worldwide Covid-19 shutdown in 2020, Vaughn began elevating her vocal technical skills through study and apprenticeship with celebrated Transformational Voice teacher, Maire Clement. In January of 2024, Vaughn opened her own vocal teaching business, Sound Love Studios, and teaches private lessons, group classes, and children’s music classes. Vaughn is also a dedicated student of yoga philosophy and teaches regular yoga asana classes and philosophical workshops. Her yoga studies heavily influence her writing and intentions to allow her music to be an offering of love to the world. Jordy’s second EP is due to be released in early 2024.
